The first movie was crazy good. But the second movie…Nothing short of incredible. ESPECIALLY the beginning.

The battle scene somewhere in Russia, when they were fighting in the snow. Iron Man and his power beams; Captain America chucking his shield at people; the Hulk going bananas – Straight carnage in the beginning!

I still get an adrenaline rush just thinking about the beginning of that movie! But what does The Avengers have to do with copywriting and sales?

Even though the movie was like two hours long, it felt like it was only 30 minutes! Because the beginning of that movie not only sucked us in at the theater – it set the tone for the entire movie!

Shields are clashing. Swords are flying. Flaming arrows are raining from the sky as the ground beneath you is being thickly padded by dead bodies…

At this point, you’re not thinking, “you know, I should’ve eaten that last piece of toast this morning…”


You’re gonna be stressed out, looking for safe cover. And when things simmer down, you’re going to wonder how in the hell you got there in the first place…

This is EXACTLY how you want your readers to feel at the beginning of your story – with HIGH drama. When they’re caught up in the story, they don’t have time to think about anything else, like leaving your landing page.

Start With Experiencing The Biggest Pain Point

Imagine being engrossed in a highly dramatic situation that you can relate to… Suddenly you feel what the characters are feeling, sharing the thoughts they’re thinking, and start predicting how this whole shebang is going to end. How are you so at one with the character?

Because YOU’VE already been there. Most importantly, you’ve already felt that pain before.

From there, you mention any other possible pain points that the character is experiencing. This will be relatable to even more of your potential prospects!

If your prospects are reading your copy about a pain point they know so well they can still feel the discomfort, and you’re telling them there’s a way to stop the pain for good, best believe they’re going to listen.

From there, your high drama story leads into the backstory of your attractive character, which aims to make them more relatable and believable to your prospects.
